		Sudhir Kakar is a psychoanalyst who has written extensively on the
		Indian psyche. In his spare time, which is now becoming his main interest,
		he is also a novelist. He’s fond of music and good food and a friend of life
		and love.


Social Landscapes

		Samita Sen, Historian, Feminist, Teacher, Activist and Researcher. A
		Presidency College, Calcutta University product with a Cambridge
		doctorate topping. Nurturing, predictably, a serious weakness for Tagore
		and Rabindrasangeet. Yet always a little out of place. Always on the look
		out for new and different ideas. A little bad, greatly mad but never too

Art, Sculpture & Architecture

		Sudha Seshadri is post graduate in Microbiology whose love for India and
		her art and culture came to the fore while working with Marg Publications.
		After over twenty years of editing and reading on various aspects of
		Indian art she still finds awe, inspiration, beauty, passion and poetry in
		the heritage of the sub continent. To her India is like the tree of life and
		getting to know her is magic.


Dance
		Ashish Khokar's genes are infused with blood of Bharatanatyam married to
		courtly etiquettes of Kathak. Sired by pioneer dance scholar Mohan Khokar
		and born to veteran dancer M.K.Saroja, he was exposed to dance early on.
		As an Arts-Administrator he handled Festivals of India in France, Sweden,
		Germany and China. While he is considered an important voice in dance, he
		considers dance to be more important. He is responsible now for India's
		largest dance collection created by his father.

Cinema
		Bhaskar Ghose was in Civil Service for 36 years doing a variety of jobs, but
		his heart was always in the theater and in watching films of all kinds. He's
		directed and acted in over 45 plays and has scripted and presented a television
		show on films for the last four years. At the moment he's planning on directing
		another play, seeing as many films as he can, helping set up the School for
		Creative Arts and Aesthetics in Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi, and teaching
		a course on The International Media Scenario at Lady Shriram College,
		New Delhi. In short, he's enjoying himself.


Environment & Ecology
		Darryl D'Monte is either described as a journalist or an environmentalist, but
		prefers to think of himself as an environmental journalist. He was Resident
		Editor of the "Indian Express" and "The Times of India" in Mumbai. He heads
		the Forum of Environmental Journalists of India and is President of the
		International Federation of Environmental Journalists. He is often genuinely
		confused as to whether to support people's causes or preserve the natural
		environment and is generally caught in between.
